Dollar slips after U.S. and Iran said to have reached ceasefire extension deal

The U.S. dollar slipped on Thursday, after a report that Washington and Tehran had reached an agreement on a 60-day memorandum of understanding to extend a ceasefire and launch negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program.

The dollar had earlier gained after fresh exchanges of fire in the Gulf and economic data which showed a headline measure of U.S. inflation rising at its fastest pace in three years.
