Japan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Paper & Pulp, Transport and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 declined 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Konami Corp. (TYO:9766), which rose 10.25% or 1,960.00 points to trade at 21,090.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (TYO:2802) added 9.32% or 469.00 points to end at 5,499.00 and Sony Corp (TYO:6758) was up 8.29% or 258.00 points to 3,372.00 in late trade.
